In Reply to "The Thick"

Large downy flakes try to pierce The Thick. Softly
Landing pon the edges, hard and crusted with fear of failure.
The cottony white kisses the solid thickness of despair.
Not so much a loving kiss rather
one of ultimate betrayal. Judas touch, Brutus' duplicity.

Sisters locked in eternal struggle for mans soul.
Goodness and mediocrity. Not evil, just a stinging realization
that one must move forward
through the murky forest of life and struggle
to come out the other side, whole and somehow tainted but fulfilled.

Spinning webs of gossamer strands
Straining softly gathering much
Spreading adamant glowing band
'round the Thick and sorrow such.

Lift and pivot while turning slow
Siblings both do waltz and whirl;
An essence rising, to and fro.
Shining as a newborn pearl.

What rises up from deep within
The sisters try to pull and pluck
And a knowing does soon begin
each hoping theirs with luck.

Break the bonds or bound them tight
Stand and move, or sink in night.
